Here is a history of my personal problems with PROVIDIAN/WASHINGTON
MUTUAL BANK WaMu Credit Card - Visa of which personally I have now
defined WaMu with just as it sounds. {WaM-U (wham you} as in they will
stick it up your ass as far as they can go. Eight months ago based on
my Equifax Credfit Rating Providian increased my interest on my Credit
Card to the Maximum of 29.9% saying I was a risk too much debt with
other creditors and based on a credit card report from a company not
affiliated with them that reported a one day late payment.
Next is another snafu I experienced beyond my control and even though
they reversed the late fee it continued to adversly affect my interest
rate per month on the credit card balance which showed me they as a
business will find a way to suck the maximum amounts of money from you
as a consumer which I FEEL IS AN ILLEGAL AND FRAUDULENT aspect within
there business practice. The following is the exact corresponces with
them on the issue of which when I asked later to lower my interest rate
this particular incedent was thrownin my face in that it was a late
payment.

That is the correct account number and there are moret than enough
funds in my account to cover the payment. This is not my fault nor
should I be charged a late fee. Please note this in my account.
Also, i will send payment electronically from my bank immediately so do
nothing.
Thank you,
Ed Turner

The latest crap from Providian/WaMu is as follows
One month
ago I asked for a credit card interest reduction based on my good
payment history with them. They told me they got authorization per my
request to lower my rate to 21.9% but it would take two billing cycles.
What happened instead is on May 24th I got a new letter saying WaMU
decreased my Credit Line and they never lowered my high interest on my
card.
- There reason for this in there letter was and I quote " Account
balance compared to credit limit too high in the most recent billing
cycle.
- Average payment compared to balance over the past six billing
cycles too low.
Now mind you, I never went over my credit limit even once and I paid on
time the minimum they asked for every month on time.
Below are my payments with them and as
noted these payments were electronic and on the specified dates due:
Funny thing for a billing cycle of 30 days the due dates differ
greatly. Just another thing you may want to think about as a consumer
who would like to schedule automated payments through your personal
bank online. Don't do it you will end up with a late payment.

My last email titled to them " Billing and Letter Conflict" on line was
as follows:
Maybe you don't get it! The letter is specific to me and it's
reasonings well I think I have a good enough case to go as far as
having the entire balance removed from the card in court seeing I been
paying 250.00 in interest over 8 months for bull crap. Here is your and
my information:
One month ago by phone I asked for a credit card interest to be reduced
based on my good payment history with you. Your business told me to
hold while the representative spoke to a supervisor and the came back
on the phone telling me they got authorization per my request to lower
my rate to 21.9% but it would take two billing cycles. What happened
instead is a letter dated on May 24th was recieved today June 4th
saying WaMU decreased my Credit Line and they never lowered my high
interest on my card. The following according to the letter is why this
has been done:
1. Account balance compared to credit limit too high in
the most recent billing cycle.
2. Average payment compared to balance over the past six
billing cycles too low.
Now mind you, I never went over my credit limit with Providian/WaMu not
even once and I paid on time the minimum due on the billing with at
times a little more than what was due in each billing that was asked
for every month on time.
Do you think this is good PR and proper business to consumer relations.
I for one do not and I feel and will prove that WaMu is doing with
intent an illegal process of sucking money out of consumers at high
interest rates.
