of Membership
Your Gardening101.org account is a
powerful interactive information set of tools.
These rules and regulations
are designed for mutual protection and understanding of the services
offered here in this Website.
Gardening101.org reserves the right to terminate any account if the account
is being used in violation of these policies, and we reserve the right
to prohibit activities that, in our judgment, have the potential to
damage our customers or our service.
1. Account Responsibility: Gardening101.org Internet User Member
Services are meant for the personal use of the owner (user) of the
account and under his/hers supervision for membership of his/hers
immediate household. The account owner is responsible for all changes
and potential legal consequences incurred by the account. The Member
(user) should immediately contact us at Gardening101.org Webmaster (contact)
if they suspect unauthorized use of their account, Pornography, fowl
language usage or threats of any kind will not be tolerated here as we
serve the all age groups.
2. The Standard Membership:
Unlimited hours of connect time per month. An attempt to log in
with the same username and password twice or more with an improper
combination of the correct user/password identity will be considered
unauthorized use and for the protection for your account, the
administrators will without warning suspend the account.
3. Equipment: Any MS Browser
or Netscape Browser and PC works with this website, cookies must be set to be accepted.
4. Support: The membership
fee of $8.50 includes access to the Gardening101.org Website FULLY. Non-Members are limited to the Public Free
Access Areas only. Your membership will not be solicited to any one at
any time.
5. Explicit Materials: The
Internet is a largely an unregulated medium. As such, you should know
that some material available through the network is either sexually
explicit, or otherwise offensive to some people, and may not be
suitable for minors. Please note that several Internet applications
enable parents to block unwanted material. Members found to be abusive
in language, media, e-mails, or any materials for which may be deemed
as inappropriate in content will be terminated without warning and with
no refund of
membership payments. This is our way of discouraging misuse of
this Website, and an attempt to protect it's good standing members and
this websites staff. If another member violates this criteria it is up
to the member violated to report the incident to the Webmaster (contact) with proof of the
violation so we may deal with the situation appropriately. Occasionally
our logs are scanned for such misuse and again we reserve the right to
terminate your account without refund or warnings.
6. Commercial Activity: We
are all commercial and non-commercial users of the Internet and, as
such, Gardening101.org
supports commercial use of the Internet. However, we do not permit
"junk" mailings or bulk mailings to people who have not requested mail.
We do not permit the posting of commercial messages to Usenet news
groups where the messages are irrelevant to the subject matter or where
these messages are posted in bulk to many news groups. There are more
effective ways for marketing your product or service on the Internet
other than from this website.
7. Chain Letters: These are
letters that ask the recipient to copy and forward a letter to other
people. You may not use your Website or your user member account to
send, copy, or forward chain letters.
8. Security: You may not use
your member account to look for security holes here. You may not use
your account to willfully disrupt network services at Gardening101.org or at any other of
it's affiliated sites or it's sister site Gardening101usa.com.
9. Mail: The Gardening101.org mail server is
programmed to send and deliver POP3 and SMTP electronic mail. Moderate
size (less than 3 megabytes) file attachments are optional but delivery
is not guaranteed. Network users are requested to check their mail at
least once every two weeks. You may not use your Gardening101.org account to pretend you are someone else when you are sending
mail.
10. Mail privacy: You should
know that communication on the network may not be completely private or
reliable. The risk of someone intercepting and reading your mail is
considered to be low, about the same risk as someone intercepting and
listening to phone calls made worth cellular or portable phones.
11. Copyright: Materials
available on the different services of the Internet may or may not be
covered by copyright. Obide by the rules of Copyright.
12. Material: Gardening101.org does not attempt to
control (and in fact cannot control) material that is available on the
network. Material on the network is provided to you "as is." By
requesting an Gardening101.org account, you waive all liability on the part of Gardening101.org regarding the
correctness or fitness of any material in text, graphic, or binary
form.
13. Service Outages: Gardening101.org attempts to ensure
that the service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. However,
Gardening101.org does not warrant uninterrupted working of the service. Gardening101.org reserves the right to
bring down the system occasionally for maintenance purposes. In
addition, events beyond our control (such as, but not limited to,
interruptions of telephone or hydro services, interruptions of
communications with remote servers) may cause the service to be
unavailable for periods of time. Gardening101 assumes no liability
whatsoever for interruption of services in such cases.
14. Account Renewals: Your Gardening101.org account will not be
automatically renewed. Our database watchgroup will remind you 30 days
before your account terminates. We allow 15 days grace period after
membership is past due before permanently terminating your account. You
may cancel your account at any time. For full membership refunds as
long as the membership is requested to be cancelled within 30 days.
Allowance of 7 -20 business days to refund on your cancelled
membership is a policy by Gardening101.org as some memberships will need to be mailed there refund to
the member directly. Out of the U.S.A. accounts this allowance is
30 - 60 days depending on where you live. All mailed refunds are final
and are mailed out as general every day postage for that destination.
15. Fees: All fees are due
at the time of service. If we do not receive payment within 3-7
days of the commencement of your service period, we reserve the right
to disable your account. If we have not received payment within 30 days
of the commencement of your service period, we reserve the right to
delete your account. At this point you will also lose any mail, or
other files which are stored on Gardening101 server based
equipment.
16. Web Space: Gardening101.org in the future will be
providing space for private individual users to post their own home
page. This space is intended to give each consumer the ability to post
his or her own views, interests, or hobbies on the world wide web in
accordance with the subject matter "Gardening". This space MAY NOT be
used to advertise a company, product, or idea for profit. Any use of
this personal web space for profit or advertisement will result in a
$15.00 a week advertising fee being assessed to the account holder.
Further, Gardening101.org
reserves the right to disable any page that it deems morally offensive
or against Gardening101.org
