Our Clubs Historical Background:
This club started as a private local club of Chevy enthusiasts while we were teenagers in 1974. We customized our rides using what ever we could find that was adaptable to our vehicles from junkyards to sales catalogs. We helped each other in these efforts to build dream machines and bad mad racers. Though most of our club members are from two combined counties in Massachusetts, Essex and Middlesex it had diminished as we have gotten older. In a new effort to rebuild this club up we through our maturity and knowledge have realized that many cars and trucks are invaluable and need preservation.
We have exhisted off the internet for over
35 years, and now we want to progress in this new age of computer
technology and it's usefulness to bring about a great club with good
data and files to share with all classic and antique vehicle
enthusiasts. Please consider our club and join in our endevers.
This
new club start encompasses the North Eastern
region of the U.S., hence our clubs name. Since the clubs headquarters
is in Massachusetts the logo was dervived and produced by the president
of the club, Ed Turner. We
rally often as we find that
togetherness
brings strength in numbers, respect of all vehicle classes and
friendships in a common likeness of our
vehicles.
The club participates in swap meets, outings,
travel, cruise days/nights, cookouts and community services. We donate
most of the procedes
to local charitees and benefits taking account for expenditures. We are
a non-profit
organization so there is no profits gained. Read our Club Rules [RULES
for Members] Bylaws.
